MUCHAS GRACIAS from the
Honduras Mission Project!!
It has been an amazing month for the Honduras Mission Project and we could not have done it without you - our parishioners!! Thank you for your generous support as our parish school and religious education classes raised over $9000 to fund education for the girls in Honduras!! Because of your generosity, we are able to send 22 girls to Catholic High School and help fund tutors and provide educational supplies to all of the girls in the orphanage!
Please join us at the parish fish fry on Friday, March 6 as we say "THANK YOU" for making a difference in the lives of the nuns, elderly and girls who live and work in our project in Honduras. We will have coffee and gifts from Honduras available for a small donation at the fish fry and after all masses this weekend.

Our Vision
To bring HOPE and SOLACE to each resident of the Hogar de Niñas and Hogar de Ancianos and to offer support for those we can in the community of Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras.
Our Mission
Who We Serve : Our committee was formed in 2004, with our first trip following in 2005. We serve all who live and work in the Hogar de Niñas (home for girls) and Hogar de Ancianos (home for the elderly) in Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras.
What We Do : We provide assistance to each home in several ways:
♥ Operations: We provide assistance to each home in several ways;
♥ Special Projects : We offer assistance as needed for capital improvements, transportation as well as other identified needs.
♥ Funding : Our project is funded SOLELY through special collections – one each fall parish-wide and an additional collection each winter for our parish children to participate and collect funds for education.
♥ Parish Trips : Our parishioners travel to Honduras to live in solidarity with the residents of each home and to offer support to show Christ’s unconditional love for all people. (Travelers pay all expenses.) For more information on St. Michael Mission trips click here.
♥ Parish Support : In addition to financial support, we engage and look for opportunities for our parishioners to interact with those we serve in Honduras. Our parish children participate in a pen pal program. We host an annual appreciation night during Lent. Collections of various needed items such as books, school supplies, and clothing are held throughout the year.
2014-2015 Honduras Mission Project Plans
All parishioners are welcome to attend our Honduras Mission Project committee monthly meetings held the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the St. Raphael room of Father Porter Hall. Regardless of whether or not a mission trip is in your future, we invite you to get involved with the project - there are opportunities for all ages!
